Celebrating Brian’s 25-years of service with Green Escape

Green Escape is a leading Alberta-based landscape design and construction company.

From backyards and city parks to subdivisions and international projects, our team does it all. We have expertise in rockwork, concrete, lighting, planting, wood and water features, and can work with projects of any scale and scope. We use consultation and collaboration to uniquely translate our client’s vision into green. Bringing our residential and commercial clients’ outdoor spaces to life is our passion—and our area of expertise.

PAUL McCORMICK

President and Founder of Green Escape
“There’s nothing wrong with perfect. That’s the motto I’ve had since starting the company over 30 years ago, and what our team looks to hit every day. Many of our clients have been with us since day one and there’s a reason they stick with us—because we consistently deliver them the best.”

Paul McCormick has been working on outdoor spaces for 30+ years. Originally from Kingston Ontario, he came out west as a young man looking to make his mark, and chose Calgary as his city of choice. After working in various jobs with leading landscape architect companies, he started Green Escape in 1984. Paul began the company with a truck, a wheel barrel, a shovel and a rake.

He built the company from the ground up, one job, one employee and one equipment purchase at a time. An artist at heart, Paul sees landscapes through a creative lens. Those who know him know his mind runs a mile a minute conceptualizing and mapping out spaces before he translates them onto paper with his hand sketched plans. Green Escape is Paul’s passion, and you can see his fingerprints on each and every project.

Putting our hearts into every detail, and into every community.

Giving back to our communities is important to us. We find joy in not only contributing to creating happy communities, but in bringing them to life. Our founder, Paul McCormick, is president of the Glendale Community Association board, and works tirelessly to ensure the community maintains its original charm and integrity.
